tree tales …

… and more abstract stuff to fill the gaps.

it is true, i have spent a lot of time in the woods of abstract.
a good place for me to be,
however, i would like to frame this fantasy land with some cold hard facts.
the world of hard facts changing as it is, it is hard to pin down.
the la la land of my mind, heart, eyes and ears weaved together is quite consistent.
always there for me to pluck from.
so as much as i’d like to say “MY NEW ALBUM WILL BE OUT XXX”
i can not, because the structure side is not clear to me right now.
the positive side of this wait for the box to form,
is the more time goes by the more i create to share…
there will be a full wad to release into the world when the word “GO” finds me.

for those who come to visit me here,
i thank you for waiting.

the “waiting” doesn’t matter. that is the point.

i do spend half of the days i have to live waiting for something, instead of… for example, instead of flying north with a goose.

but you know… we all share something. if not everything.

To explore all the paramêtres to leave the best oneself, it is the main thing. We await you and we are patient…! Take care, many kisses

Oh Melissa, I think you’ve possibly read what I’ve written before but I will always want to listen to what you say here or anywhere and to me it doesn’t matter what happens with you’re album. Definitely.

  5. MdMb says:

I find it soothing to know you haven’t stopped creating even though you can’t share your work with us yet.

I was afraid you were in a bad mood because of all this delay, and that was frustrating you. However, as usual, I now see once again, you’ve managed to find the positive side of things. I admire you for that too.

I must recognize, even though we have to wait, I never get tired of listening to your previous songs, so you’re always a source of joy to my ears, mind and soul.

Not to mention your influences in my own music, which are always there, even though I might not be aware at first sight.

    Keep creating, Melissa!
Take care, live and have fun.

    Huge hug! =)
PS: my band’s first album is almost complete, and I’d really like you to listen to it. Too bad that can’t happen.

I’m curious to discover what the cold hard facts could be?

I just HOPE that one of these days I could show my work and my love to you. Cause me too Melissa I am writing lyrics. But i’m not sure that my style is the same that yours, maybe could you help me to make some contacts with artists who would like to use my lyrics & ideas.

I thank you Melissa for reading us!

I don’t usually double post, but I felt like it this one time.

A couple of hours ago, my band’s singer sent me one of our album’s songs. I had never listened to it finished, mixed and all.

I can’t explain the feeling. Too many things going through my mind at the same time.

I felt I should thank all those who inspire me to make music. I’ve already thanked my bandmates, and now I want to say thanks to you, Melissa.

Thank you so very much for reenforcing my love for the bass every time I listen to your songs, I watch your videos or read your messages.

    Music definitely makes me HAPPY!

  17. Jennifer says:

I’ll keep waiting for your album, no matter how long it will take to be released!

  21. Sandrina says:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;…
Si tu es las et que la route te parait longue, si tu t’aperçois que tu t’es trompé de chemin, ne perds pas une seconde, gagne du temps! Recommence!!
Very often, there is more in the waiting, then just waiting…
    Courage, un jour après l’autre…
ps: say hi to the Mtl family, long time no see…

Since I guess that you don’t plan to become the female version of Axl Rose ;), I’d say: Take as much time as the art needs. Your first album was such a wonderful butterfly, probably one of the best debut albums since A Perfect Circles ‘Mer De Noms’ and one of my alltime favourite records, although I own about 3000 Indie- and Rockalbums.

  24. Joshua says:

My father used to say to me, “I want the trees to win.” It appears that you may have won this round, Ms. auf der Maur.

  25. Daniel says:

Dearest Melissa. Can’t wait to hear your new sounds. Your music is wonderful. Inspiring. Danx

  26. It’s an intriguing approach. I commonly see minimalist judgments on the matter but yours it\\\’s written in a pretty special way. For sure, I will revisit your site for more info. Greetings from Newport
