it’s been mighty hard to wake up from the post ooom tour bliss… after 7 perfect weeks of playing music, then arriving home for family holidays and snow storm after snow storm…. i’ve been unplugged from the internet and relishing in what feels like a dream. this has been bliss. finally releasing OUT OF OUR MINDS after many years of restructuring and seeking the mysterious “new” path to release music and feelings, was the root of this past year- the OUT OF OUR MINDS tour, was the fire at the end of the 2010 OOOM tunnel. a perfect cycle. thank you to all that came and were part of it. we are digging into some ooom tour out takes and highlights to recap, but i wanted to start with celebrating my #8 position in world leading hard rock mag’s year end pole! fantasticcccccc! thank you dearest KKKKKKKerang. you have always been supporters, since way back when the “ginger” joined hole x this is what they said, and i am humbled and teary eyed to read it:

“…the Canadian has long been one of rock’s most artistic souls … Out Of Our Minds is a beguiling ethereal collection of songs that sound unlike anything else out there.”

Earlier this year upon the release they gave OOOM a 4 K review and said this….
“MAdM is now comfortable in her own (celebrity) skin that she can turn her hand to any style she damn well pleases” (KKKK)

not to mention the KKKK LIVE review from the tour!
“There’s nothing flashy or excessive about the performance but… there’s no doubting the quality or care of offer or the fact that, for Melissa Auf der Maur, it really  is all about the music”

in HONOR of the Full Moon, End of OOOM Tour, the coming of 2011 and YOU!!!

although matt and i haven’t even managed to upload the end of OOOM tour blog (day 3 of italia, luxembourg, paris AND istanbul weekend still pending arrival of his hard drives lost in transport via casablanca!) the FULL MOON, Lunar Eclipse 1638 AD vs 2010 AD, Winter Solstice, finally home after 8 weeks, xmas holidays means stop the madness, calls me to START UP THE HEARTLine AGAIN! although i only ever got ONE down this past year, after instigated and inspired by Willing Enabler and Kamil in the UK, i have been planning on returning to it, once i returned to sanity post all OOOM, all the time in 2010 x
now this lunar madness and post ooom natal longing calls for it! the last 8 weeks of OOOM have been the best music exchange moments of my life, really. thank from the bottom of my bloody fire heart to all that put it together with me and all of you who came out… just because i am back home, does not mean i am gone. thanks to YouStream i can reach for the OOOM and me to be in your homes tomorrow, Dec 21 at 9pm EST. see what came of it last time…. you ask me questions in advance, i answer them live in my HEARTLine Studio!

alright, it’s true. i got so carried away with my love of MAdMTV that i failed to update my blog for a little too long… between then and now, i was pretty busy falling in love with ITALIA (with a could mini affairs with AUSTRIA, GEMANY AND SWISS HOMELAND prior) then straight into loving quebec for the first time, then celebrating my hero DAVID SUZUKI at TORONTO TIFF. had not secretarial time to update this here story… but NOW i must tell you…. it is with great joy and excitement that i announce, i will be heading NORTH WEST with me and my inner world, for the first time in YEARS!!!! i’m talking 5 years!!!! imagine the beauty i’ve been missing out on… no more!

HOLY HONOR OF ART NOUVEAU HEAVEN
as a visiting muse to this art nouveau red river of rusty leaves and petals, i declare:

“A SACRED HEART HOVERS BETWEEN MY HANDS!”

unveiling the fine art achievement of LEE MOYER!
Century Guild of Chicago created this union between myself and famed illustrator Lee Moyer, in a mad dash effort to bring like minded souls together at Comic Con. This Poster was custom made for this event, in less than 3 weeks (applaud lee!) we will be receiving visitors July 22 at 2PM tomorrow at the Century Guild Booth at the Sand Diego Comic Con. I’ll be catching a sneak peek of it all tonight, but i hear you can not miss this booth- it’s the HIGH ART booth of the convention. it’s where the original Poster art of the turn of the last Century is exhibited and sold. An incredible movement in art, that i certainly visited in another life…. we will gather in that fantasy tomorrow!
Looking forward to seeing all the passion and creation in the football field of fantasy madness x
