Wow, I always thought I was a freak for having October Rust as my all-time favourite album, it’s good to see I’m not the only one. Btw, Melissa has written here one of the best Type O eulogies I’ve ever read.

I bought my new car in january 2005, and October Rust is the only CD that has been inside my CD changer since then (except a 2 week period time when I lent the CD to a friend; he’s now another Type O fan). I love to listen to it when I drive, especially on snowy winter days…

Saw Mastodon & Dethklok on Halloween Night. Amazing performances all around. The visuals were as stunning as the music. Cannot wait to see what the next turn brings.

Also a big fan of Type O from the October Rust & Bloody Kisses era. Being a huge fan of your music, it’s always interesting to read about your influences.

I LOVE Type O Negative! October Rust is an awesome album and every october reminds me of Type O, in Philly for several years they used to have a Halloween concert at the Trocadero – it was like a tradition with myself and my friends, but alas those days are over.

and peter steele’s spread in Playgirl all those years ago, was a milestone in my sexual history…just thought i’d mention that!

I could not agree with you more! So thrilled you also are a huge fan of Type O. October Rust never left my CD player when it first came out. My
girlfriend (now wife of 11 years) often used it as the soundtrack to our “carnal pleasures”…it is just so otherwordly and ethereal while being incredibly dark and heavy. Absolute classic from a band that stays fresh and original. Looking forward to seeing you in NY…missed you two weeks ago since I was out of town.
